Four lives.
One band. Emotions. Heartbreak. Misplaced tomorrows.

Welcome to the world of Potential Problem.

Drawing from power pop and melodic punk rock, Potential Problem has come up with a sound of raw high energy and honest passionate lyrics that would draw the attention of the casual listener. Potential Problem perpetuates in the energy fed off each other as they rock every venue they have played in with the sonic orchestration that a natural extension of what their music represents to them: heart and soul.

The band has come a long way since their formation in the late '90s. Back in ’97, the band started out playing New Found Glory and Fenix*TX covers for the first several jam sessions and in no time, they found themselves writing new material. The line-up was finalized in December 2001.

Within the following year of 2002, the band wrote many originals, made new friends from other bands, had their debut gig and went into the studio to record two songs.

Their debut gig was Void Deck Music, organized by Lunchbox. All the proceeds of the gig went to the Community Chest. It took place at Jammerz Pit in July where they played alongside with Kate Of Kale, Pug Jelly, My Squared Circle and No Direction.

The band then took part in the Yamaha Asian Beat (previously known as Band Alert) Band Competition that was held at Youth Park in October and November. Out of the 70 over bands that took part, Potential Problem and 19 other bands made it to the semi-finals.

In November 2002, the band went to TNT to work on their EP, “Better Plans For That Misplaced Tomorrow” which they released in March 2003.

Two songs from the EP can be found on their independent release of their “Two Track Sampler CD”, which was released free as a promotional item at the end of 2002.

Potential Problem recently played two shows in March. The first was at Jurong Green CC where they played alongside with Vertical Rush and Gorbachev and the following week, they played at the Singapore International School alongside with Gorbachev again, Pug Jelly and My Squared Circle.

With their recent release of their EP, they plan to spread their music to as many as people as possible.. The band is looking forward to play future shows and to continue making as many friends along the way.
